A Guide To Achieve Your Employment Goals!

Why Futurelink

Futurelink offers career assessments designed to provide robust insight into a person’s career interests, personality, motivators, and skills. These assessments help individuals identify how their specific skills, personality, and interests align with compatible occupations.

We also offer career counseling to assist participants seeking employment, training services, and overall guidance to achieve employment goals. Participants who join the program are assigned a Futurelink Career Coach who will guide and assist them every step of the way. These services are provided through a combination of on-site and secure virtual platforms in one-on-one settings. Our goal is to prepare and empower participants to pursue and achieve their employment goals confidently.   

Step 1: Initial Consultation

Futurelink’s career coach will conduct an initial consultation to identify your background, employment barriers and goals. In this 30 min consultation our certified career coach will assess and may recommend more comprehensive assessments to evaluate further.  

Step 2: Comprehensive Assessments

Based on the initial evaluation, Futurelink career coach will assign a web-based comprehensive career assessment(s). We use professional-level assessments (i.e. Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Strong Interest Inventory, Criteria Basic Skills Test (CBST), Employment Personality Profile (EPP), and CASAS). Our certified staff will administer individualized career assessment(s) to identify employment goals and barriers, interests, aptitudes, skills, and compatible occupations.

Step 3: Individual Employment Plan (IEP)

Once the assigned assessment is completed by the participant, Futurelink’s trained coach will set up a 60 minute consultation with the participant. The participant will work directly with a certified Career Coach to develop a realistic and actionable IEP. During the consultation, the career coach will thoroughly explain the assessment results to the participant & help him/her understand strengths, weaknesses, skills, aptitudes, and interests. The participant will gain self-awareness of strengths, weaknesses, and areas that need improvement. This will be useful as they continue their career pathway.

Step 4: Follow Up

Receive ongoing support and assistance, online or in-person, to ensure progression and success of the IEP plan.

  6. Attend follow-up meetings to ensure progression and success of the IEP plan
